It hardly mattered that he was late. Nobody noticed, anyway. For the time being, he was by himself, as he'd agreed to meet his date at the ball itself. Adonis felt a little too proper in his suit and tie, especially because he hated wearing ties to begin with. The school ones, he could put up with because he had to, but he didn't feel this purple one was really necessary. It was the only other one he had though, courtesy of a quick shipment by his mother.

Adonis nodded to the few people that he knew, but kept his station planted right next to the door so that he wouldn't miss the person he was supposed to meet. He bit his lip, nervous as he'd never been before. He'd never had the opportunity to go to a school dance when he was in Muggle school, so this was all new to him. The lights and fancy clothes were foreign to him, but he decided he'd make the best of it no matter what.

Morgan’s bright eyes watched as Sirius gently grazed her lips. It was something she missed, he was her Sirius once again. Then he changed. He stopped the dip and stood Morgan back up. She was suddenly confused about all the feelings in her heart: her love for Sirius and for Rabastan. Where did her heart belong and with whom? When Sirius jogged out of the Ball, Morgan’s eyes shifted back to their deep midnight blue. She turned and walked back to Rabastan, slipping her hand into his. Morgan looked at the entrance once more, before turning her attention back to those around her.

Emery laughed lightly as Morderus completed one last dip. When he brought her back up, he kissed her. When he broke the kiss and told her that she moved well enough, she blushed slightly and smiled. “Why, thank you, Love,” she said kissing his cheek. She looked around, as their dance ended and noticed that there were far fewer couples than when the Ball had started. Emery looked back at him when he asked if she wanted to leave as well for the plans she had in place. A devious smile spread across her face and she moved in close to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed herself against him, whispering, “Come with me, if you are ready?” She backed again, and took his hand in hers, gently leading him out.

Ted happily lead Andromeda to the dance floor as she told him of why she had been missing. “I didn’t think you would stand me up, Dromeda,” he said with a wink. As he took her hand and placed his other on her waist, he smiled at her comment about not dancing in ages. He leaned into her and said quietly, “It’s just like riding a bike. Once you do, you never forget. You’ll remember.” As he said this, he began to move with her, slowly at first to give her time to remember and then picking up the complexity of the dance. Ted gently kissed her check and whispered to her, “Dromdea, call me Ted.” He leaned back and grinned at her. “You really do look lovely, tonight. I’ve missed seeing you,” he said sincerely.

Cian escorted Azaria off the dance floor after the song ended. He did notice that many couples around them were taking the next step with one another. However, he and Azaria were just friend, but, it still made for an awkward small moment. That is, until Azaria asked about the tournament. He smiled and pulled out a chair for her and then sat himself. “It’s coming along. Have my second clue that I need to figure out for the next task. I’m guess I won’t get off as easily as I did in the first task. Growing up where I did, I learned lots about mermaids. So, in a sense, I was a little more prepared for my task that perhaps I should have been…” He paused remembering watching the other champions battle their creatures, then shook his head slightly. Looking back at Azaria, he asked, “Will you watch the next task?”

It was the first time Leo could get ready for an occasion without his mother fussing over his hair, and he thought that was brilliant until he actually had to do it on his own. He would have left it as normal, but it was a ball and the boy felt like he should be mimicking a prince in a Disney film, cheesy as the ambition was. So his hair was neat, combed through until his wrist ached and he realized his date was kept waiting.

When he walked into the room, Leo felt that for once his expectations were accurate. Immediately overwhelmed by the formal wear clad crowds, he looked for Adonis. He neglected to look to the side, where the Ravenclaw had been waiting, wondering if wizards wore clip on bow ties-- at least, he that's what he was wearing.

The nervous smile on Andromeda's face was allowed to shift to a more warm expression as Ted led her to the dancing area. "A bike?" she whispered to herself as she mentioned an analogy for dancing, "that sounds jovial!" She held his hand with her own and placed the other on Ted's shoulder. Andromeda kept a peaceful concentration as she observed his footwork and tried to emulate it inversely. This isn't that bad, she thought to herself as she swayed with Ted. "It's nothing like a Moresca, but I could get used to it," she said to him as she kept a soft grip on his shoulder. "I've missed you too, Ted. Thank you, but I'm nothing compared to you." Andromeda blushed after he complimented her, but instead of concealing it, she simply embraced it.

Morana smiled at his words. "The day my possessive fiance will become my possesive husband," she whispered so only he could hear. "I am the luckiest bitch in this castle right now," she added and than kissed him.

Rabastan looked as Morgan as she came back. "Had fun with your ex?" he asked with smirk as he pulled her closer and gave her a quick kiss just to remind her who she belongs to in the moment. "I hope you saved dance even for me," he added.

Lily smiled nervously as James suggested dance. "How could I refuse?" she laughed and let him to lead her.

Amelia looked at Philip. Being a queen, that was always a thing she was glad to hear. "Well, mister Malfoy, show me that men in modern age didn't forget how to dance properly," she said seductively.

Morgan blushed slightly when Rabastan asked about her enjoyment with Sirius. She had had a wonderful time dancing with him, but she was ready to dance with her boyfriend now. "I have saved a dance for you, my Prince. And, I am ready to dance with you whenever you are ready to," she teased returning his kiss, but on the lips. She looked into his eyes and smiled, happy and feeling, once again, that this was where she belonged.

Ted smiled, "Sadly, I don't know that dance, but I hope this one will be good enough." He laughed at his own joke and spun Andromeda away from him and back in. "You're too kind," he said to her compliment that he was much better dressed than he was. Then he dared to pull her closer to him. He looked into her eyes and smiled tenderly.

Azaria wondered what clue he had gotten for the task, but she didn't think she could be of much help since she didn't know anything about the tournament this year. He asked if she would watch the task, and she didn't know if she would. She had very strong views about the tournament, and she didn't believe in sending students into life-threatening situations as a competition. "I wasn't planning on it, but I might. Since you're a champion and all," she replied. She hoped that Cian would do well in the tournament, even though she didn't believe in it.

Cian putted her hand, "I would be happy to know that such a good friend would be watching me in the crowd. Sure schoolmates are fine, but someone else would be very nice, indeed." He hoped that Azaria would watch, even though she seemed to not be very interested in the tournament, he thought maybe she might enjoy cheering on himself and the others. "Why didn't you watch the first task, if you don't mind my asking?" he said.

Leo wasn't too hard to pick out from the crowd, even though he'd somehow slipped past Adonis. He walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around his... date. Date, Adonis, he reminded himself. It made something in his stomach squirm, apparently with glee, because it always made him happy to think about it.

The hug wasn't exactly romantic, though, as Leo's arms were pinned to his side and Adonis was making an attempt to crush him. It wasn't the normal or proper way to greet one's date, the Ravenclaw conceded, but they weren't just any couple. Technically, they weren't even a couple at all. Adonis decided that they were in the thinking stage, and that's what he would tell people who cared enough to ask.

Leo did his best to wiggle out of Adonis's embrace, but not because he didn't like it. Feeling like the air is being pressed out of your lungs typically called for escape, and the first year felt like 3 out of 4 doctors would agree.

He ended up better facing his date, but not entirely out of his grip. Leo found that he wasn't quite sure how to address Adonis, and smiled stupidly for a moment before managing a lackluster 'hi' and a curious 'does your tie clip on?'.

"Um no it's a normal tie. It took me forever to get it on. I don't think I did it right either..." Adonis had never tied a tie before. The truth was, his mother had set up his school ties for him, and he just loosened or tightened them to take them on and off. He hadn't tied one once all year.

Obviously, the result was a failed attempt and a very disorganized looking knot. He was hoping people would either not notice or ignore it, but he should have expected that Leo would at least see it, since they'd be close and all. Granted, he wasn't expecting to be this close, but admittedly he liked it. His arms hung loosely around the Hufflepuff, not trying to suffocate him anymore but still reluctant to let him go.

As if on cue, Leo flicked his eyes down at Adonis's tie. It was a very nice purple tie, and it did suit his date, but the knot was far from the neat ones all of his friend's Ravenclaw ties were done up in. Leo learned how to knot his before he went off to school, and spent a fair bit of time practicing with his mum. Shaking his head and hardly thinking to ask for permission, Leo started to fix the knotted up purple fabric.

"Over, under and around, over again..." He instructed as his hands worked. They were poor instructions, really and included a lot of 'this goes here' and 'that goes there'. With one last tug, he triumphantly smiled and pulled back. "See?"

Adonis watched his friend fix his tie, trying to observe the ways that his hands moved and what part of the fabric tucked in where. However, he honestly got distracted by the simple movements of Leo's hands, and how delicately they worked, not to mention how soft they were. He almost didn't hear the quick question that was asked of him when he'd finished. "No," he answered truthfully, "but I'll just assume you know what you're doing." Adonis couldn't see the tie, but it already felt more appropriate around his neck.

He smiled at his friend for a few moments too long, before inviting him to dance. He held his hand out, waiting for the Hufflepuff to take it. For once in his life, Adonis was finally able to appreciate the dance lessons his mother had forced him to take ever since he was a small child. She'd always said he'd need them some day, he just never expected it to happen like this.

Hesitantly, Leo took the offered hand...and then, be began to panic. He tried to keep it was inward as possible by biting the inside of his cheek, but he couldn't lie this time. Leo would have to address his concerns.

"Um, Adonis I don't..." He bit down on his cheek sharply before continuing, "I don't know how to dance.. well I do...but it's the chicken dance and..."

Oh God, Adonis thought. Leo was definitely in a predicament, but the Ravenclaw figured he could at least try to teach him.

"Come on, you can't be too bad," he said, trying to reassure his partner as he led him onto the floor. "Put your hand here," he placed Leo's hand on his shoulder, "and I'm going to put my hand on your waist. You're going to follow my footsteps, literally. When I step back, you step forward, yes like that, and to the left, your left Leo, and good, just like that. See?"

Leo watched his feet as they moved, and once he successfully mimicked Adonis's movements, he looked up and smiled broadly. For a second or so it was nice-- the room was really pretty and the color of his dance partner's hair contrasted nicely with the setting...

...and then he tripped, twice. The first time, he caught himself and resumed his smile. The second he fell into Adonis.

Adonis staggered back, trying to catch Leo and still maintain his own balance. He barely managed it, but still bumped into another couple in the process.

"Maybe we should take a break," he offered after profusely apologizing for stepping on a girl's toes. He gestured to the punch bowl, a surefire way to resolve a dire issue such as failing to dance properly.

"That's a good idea," Leo replied, flustered to the point of no return. He felt like he should apologize, but at the same time, felt like his apology would sound completely stupid. In the end, he refrained and went with Adonis to the punch bowl in silence. So far, Adonis was a much better prince than he was. Leo thought he was pretty lucky to be dancing with a prince, or, a really prince-like person.

Adonis poured two glasses, then handed one to Leo. He leaned on the table, simply watching the other couples dancing.

"So," he began, still facing the dance floor, "when do you want to take those pictures?"

He hadn't really thought about it before, in fact he'd quite forgotten. It seemed to be a big deal, at least to Leo's family, and he didn't want to ruin it for them or give them a reason to give his friend a hard time.

Kronos grins and hugs Luna before taking her over to get a drink leaving Legion and Sky alone.

[Luna Valkyrie]

Luna hugs back with a blush and waves bye to Legion and Skyla. She grabs a drink of water and looks at Kronos. She then looks around watching the dancefloor empty as people wander off to do their own thing.

"I thought it be better if we gave them some space. So. How are you? Also...What do have in mind for later?" he said as he grabbed some water.

Legion sat with Skyla. He had put his glasses on and was puzzled. "I don't get you. What so ever. Its briliant. Tis is new. Fun. Exciting. Question. Whay were you a shadow?" He asked.

[Luna Valkyrie]

Luna nods. ''She's trying to explain herself to him without saying too much...'' She shrugs. ''I am very happy my love. How 'bout you? Hm...later...well.'' She leans into his ear and whispers things for no ones ears, hopefully reminding him of the shrieking shack.

Skyla waves bye to Luna and turns to Legion seeing him put his glasses on. ''That is good then. No one is meant to get me, Love. I was the shadow because of my sisters. I had to mother them as i am the oldest. I followed my twin sister and she was the center of attention due to her...mental breakdowns. She needed to be taken care of but i just hid away. Shadow...I always followed her every step of the way.'' She shook her head. ''It doesn't matter now. She has Regulus.'' She mutters and looks at her hands.

"Maybe afterwards?" Suggested Leo, who was just beginning to take a sip of the punch Adonis provided for him. One fruity mouthful later, joined Adonis in watching the dancers.

"Have you been to something like this before?" He inquired, lightly marveling at his date's dancing earlier on. Leo never learned to dance like that, and he had an idea of why. He wondered what it was Adonis needed the fancy dancing for in the first place.

"No, actually I haven't. My mother always said that I'd need to go to one of these someday, so she gave me dance lessons. I always laughed and told her that no one would ever want to dance with me, so it didn't matter. Guess I was wrong?" He smiled at his date, then began to wonder if they should still be there. People were drifting off, it seemed, going to some private place that only they thought of. Until they ran into someone else with the same idea, anyway. There were still a respectable amount of people dancing, enjoying some slow song that was playing. Whoever was in charge of the music seemed to enjoy the slow dances, because there were a lot of them playing tonight. Or perhaps that was just how the party was winding down, if it was.

Adonis rubbed the back of his neck, preparing to ask a question. His cheeks were a shade of light pink as he presented his idea. "Hey, um, I don't want to sound weird or anything, but do you want to try to get into my dorm? I don't know if you can because you're a Hufflepuff and all, but if it doesn't work we can go someplace else. That is, if you aren't sick of me yet."
