Care Of Magical Creatures - Lesson 1

Just a tad inside the forest, laid a clearing with a wooden pedestal. It had several wooden benches as well, but those were reserved for the students the professor allowed to take a seat. A path had been formed from the castle up until the clearing so the students wouldn't have to come through the forest.

Bruce stood there, waiting, with two bonfires. One on each side of the massive professor. One fire was blue, the other was red as usual. Bruce was gonna go into the class soon enough. He did expect to see Marvolo arrive before he started though.

Luna cracks her knuckles and neck as she walked to the clearing. She glances at the forest wanting to just run through it, not caring about the dangers. She looks up to see the Professor standing between two bonfires that danced brightly. She stares in wonder and in awe as her love for fire showed. She wished to touch it, dance around it like she did back home when there was a bonfire. ''Hello Professor.'' She says with a smirk.

Aurora walks along the path to the clearing avoiding the darkness of the forest. Her blonde hair curled around her face as her blue eyes flittered over to see her twin greet the professor. A kind smile formed on her face. ''Hello Professor!'' She said excitedly causing Luna to roll her eyes unnoticed by her oblivious twin who was staring at the fire with curiosity.

Alex followed close behind to Aurora putting his hand on the small of her back in a protective manner. ''Hello Professor. Pleasure to meet you.'' He says with a bow of his head, his pureblood manners showing. He pulled Aurora closer to him as she tried to step closer to the fire. He kept her close but he couldn't help himself. He stared at the Professor with interest and looks him up and down biting the inside of his mouth.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo walked out to the class, spotting Luna shhe made her way over to her, as she passed alex she smirked "Don't hold your breath son, he plays for only one team" she winked at him as she slid into a seat next to luna a hand on her waist "Professor" she said

Alex's face goes bright red at Marvolo's comment and he holds Aurora closer.

Luna smiles at Marvolo and slides her arm around Marvolo's waist giving her a half hug. She smirks at Alex's face. She knew he played for both teams which is the main reason why the twins were no longer close. She looks back at Marvolo. ''Hey sexy.'' She says with a playful wink, glad her and Marvolo were better.

Morgan arrived at the clearing, excited to be able to attend CoMC once again. She wondered if Professor Carrow was still the same as he was before he left. As she entered, she nodded and smiled, "Good day, Professor." She tossed her blonde hair out of her face and slid into the seat next to Marvolo and Luna. "Hey, girls," she whispered to both with a smile.

Ted walked slowly to the clearing for class. Truth be told, this was one of her personal favorites. He gave a respectful nod to Professor Carrow and set his pack, formerly thrown over his shoulder, down at one of the places towards the back. He spotted Luna and gave a similar nod to her. Opening his pack, he checked to make sure there was parchment, quill, and ink ready should he need to jot anything down.

Vixen slipped into the clearing and took a seat just behind Marvolo. "Professor," she said as she twisted her hair into a messy bun. CoMC was one subject she never wore her hair down for, if it could be avoided. She really didn't care which classes she attended. Vixen was just happy to be away from her parents. She had a vauge memory of Professor Carrow, and from that memory, she was pretty sure his class was going to be enjoyable.

Logan and Crimson walked to the gatherer outside, nodding there hellos to the professor they found a bit of space off to the side of the group.

Rolodphus walk over to the Professor and gave him his wicked smirk and offered his hand hand to the Professor, seeing Vixen he raised his other hand and gave her a wave.

Luna feels arms wrap around her and she grins. She hugs back. ''Hey love.'' Her comfort, her security was holding her and she just knew this was going to be a good class.

Sirius stood in the clearing, Peter sitting beside him, as James arrived. "Bastard started the class yet?" James asked with a whisper. "About to....maybe he wants to do something with Marvolo before starting." Sirius said, as Peter nudged his knee. "Not too loud. They'll hear you." Sirius shrugged. "Why the hell should I care." He asked, as James pointed at the professor with his head. "Let's just hear."

Bruce nodded at the students who greeted him, keeping a close eye on Marvolo. As Rodolphus came up to him, he shook the boy's head with a smirk. "Hello little Lestrange. Nice to see you again!" He said, with a smirk. As he let the boy's hand go, he clapped so the students would turn to him. "Students, attention. Come close, but not too close," he said the last bit mischievously.

The red fire started to spark immensely, as a little bit of sweat poured down Bruce's forehead. "Now, this is your common fire,," he said, slowly pulling his shirt off. "You can see, any normal male specimen as myself sweats a lot close to this fire." He stated, then approaching the blue fire. Whipping his sweat off with his shirt, he let about two minutes pass. "No sweat whatsoever."

He threw his shirt onto the red fire, and smirked. "Alright, who can tell me what's the difference between these fires?"

Sirius rolled his eyes at the question, and told Peter and James to hush. "They clearly have different temperatures. The blue one has a low temperature, and the red one the complete opposite. Reason why you sir started to sweat like a hippopotamus." Sirius answered, with a smug smirk stamped on his face.

Bruce rolled his eyes at the boy's smartass response. "You're lucky you're correct Bl....Mr Black! 5 points to gryffindor..." he said, harshly. He was begging for a Slytherin to get some points. Slytherin had to keep winning.

"Very well!" He said, as two beings started to form in the fire. They both stood there, not wanting to leave the place they had just been born in. "Common known animals these girls. Any idea what the name of these animals is?" he asked the class once again.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo smirked and winked at Bruce now that he was shirtless, she enjoyed the view and shot a withering glance at some of her fellow students. "There salamanders" she said "they love fire...not just because they are born of it but because they feed off its power"

Bruce nodded at his lovers response. "Correct. Brilliant! 5 Points to Slytherin!" he answered proudly. The salamanders came out of the fire, both burning with a different color. "Why don't you come up here, Mar-, Miss Gaunt!" He asked smirking, passing his eyes by every student in the class.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo stood up slowly from her seat and approached the fires, her blue black eyes reflected the flames "Yes professor?" she said with a innocent look.

Bruce set his hands on her shoulders, walking behind Marvolo. "Touch the salamander thats on blue fire!" he nearly ordered. "I want to kiss you..." He whispered, pulling his head back.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

She shot him a flirty glance before reaching into the blue fire, it danced around her skin and cast a glow over her. She picked up one of the cold salamanders and held it without taking it from the heat but high enough out of the flames to show what it looked like.

"Very well," he said, motioning for the class to look at the salamander Marvolo had in her arms. "Now," He said, as the salamander under the extremely hot fire walked around the clearing, leaving marks of her paws. Bruce cast Aquamenti at the poor creature, as the fire was put out. "Anyone who wishes to do so, pet her gently!" Bruce said with a smirk.

As most of the students started petting the little animal, Bruce smiled, as he looked at Marvolo. "You can set her down now, love. Go protect the other from too much commotion." He said, turning his gaze to the students all forming a line to pet the young and beautiful animal. Bruce had placed a Calming Draught on both fires, so the beasts were incapable of harming any student.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo smiled and moved to the hot Salamander, picking it up gently in her arms its heat reddened her arms but didnt harm her, standing in front of the fire she stroked its warm head gently.


Remus glanced at his brothers "Come on then we can't look to out of place" he said getting to his feet he approached Marvolo and the creature. Bowing so he could look in its dark eyes he scratched its chin.

Sirius got up, as he stood next to Remus, he petted the animal's back, his eyes glued on Marvolo's.

Bruce looked over at the students petting the beast, as he noticed Black looking at his love. "Lupin, come here!" He ordered the boy. Dellen has asked him to keep an eye on the boy due to his condition. Surely she had something else in mind, but Bruce simply disliked Gryffindors. Mira Yaxley knew that all too well.

Morgan got up and went to get a closer look at the creature in Marvolo's arms. Gently touching her, she smiled at the warmth she gave off. "She's lovely," she said smiling up at Marvolo. "Missed you over the summer," she said. She looked up at Professor Carrow called Remus to him, and stepped to the side to allow the others a chance to pet the creature if they wished.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo looked up and realized Sirius' eyes were on hers, she smiled a bit "remember when you fell in the pit during detention when we met" she said to him "you thought you were on fire but you got lucky it was the cold ones" she giggled at the fond memory and leaned down to nuzzle the salamander. She loved animals despite what she did as a horrible person she loved these creatures.

Remus looked up sharply as his name was called, glancing at Sirius he straightened his back and walked over to the professor, clasping his arms behind his back he said "Sir?"

After Remus left, Sirius shot him a worried look first, but turned back to Marvolo, "I'm gonna have to talk to you after the class." he said , trying to not enter in a conversation with the girl. As Vixen approached, Sirius walked back to his brothers carefully.

Bruce kept staring at Black, narrowing his eyes. "Come see me. After class. You can go back to your buddies now Lupin."

[Vixen Lestrange]

Vixen sighed as she got up to go have a look at these creatures herself. She had read about them before, but had never seen one up close. "Hey, Marvolo. Have a good holiday?" she asked as she took a close look at the creature she held. Reaching out her hand, she stroked her chin, and grinned her unique grin. Her hand warmed as she touched her. Wonderful..... she though to herself.

Jocelyn stood at the back as far from the fires as she could. She hated the fire and she didn't want to get called to the front. The Care of Magical Creatures lesson were very new for her so she wanted to wait and see what the lesson was about. The teacher was already a known face as he was on the party at her house. Jocelyn looked at the students in front of her.
