Hearing the sound of the cannon Viktor turned back to Karkaroff and his headmaster gave him a firm nod, and so the boy cracked his neck and looked ahead at the maze, picking the first entrance. Looking over his shoulder, he clenched his fists and did not need another breath. He stepped in. Only a few steps later, the bushes behind him closed, and the first entrance was gone...

As the cannon roared, Harry gulped slightly, but clenched the pendant Mira had given him that now hanged beneath his shirt. Taking a very deep breath, Harry tilted his head and saw Viktor disappear into the maze, and his eyes widened. However, he was not going to wait, he was not going to be last, again. Stepping up, he walked past the other champions, turning back to Conner and Cedric, "See you inside," he said as he ran into the maze, his entrance disappearing moments later...

At the sound of the cannon, Conner didn't waste any time. Following behind Vikor and Harry, he headed for his entrance point into the maze. Just before stepping through, Conner paused only long enough to tip his head to his Headmistress. Once done, he drew a deep breath, gave his shoulders a roll and neck a crack, and stepped into the maze, not even looking when he heard the rustling of the foliage closing up behind him. Once his entrance was sealed, Conner heard nothing but the sounds of the maze around him...

The cannon's sound didn't draw so much as a flinch from Cedric. Turning on his heel, he headed back to his opening into the maze and his father. When Amos extended his hand, Cedric swallowed hard and took it, however, a handshake wasn't enough for his father. Pulling his son to him, Amos hugged him hard and wished him luck. "Don't worry, Father. It will all be over before you know it," Cedric said with a smile. Looking to the stands, he spotted Blair. Kissing his fingers and holding his hand up to send his kiss to her, Cedric winked and grinned at her before vanishing into the maze. As his entry point closed behind him, he took a few breaths before looking behind him. The only hint that there ever was an opening being the final little trembles of leaves as they stilled...

Blair frowned as she settled into her seat. She’d have thought that by now the excitement that was the last task would have taken over, but instead she remained nervous. Her gaze swept across where each of the champions stood, all looking to be rather calm. When the cannon sounded, her gaze flicked to her boyfriend who was speaking with his father. When he turned to face her, she felt some of the discomfort at the base of her stomach ease. With a bright smile, she brought her own fingers to her lips and returned the gesture, whispering, “be safe, Cedric.” Then, the champions were all within the maze and no longer within sight, so she leaned back in her seat and began the wait for Cedric’s return.

Fleur's lip tightened into a thin line as she heard the cannon go off, signaling the start of the final task and she took a deep breath to steel her nerves for what was about to come. Pulling out her wand, she grasped it tightly in her hand, feeling the comforting warmth of the wood against her palm. Then she turned and walked towards the maze, like the other champions, but she looked over her shoulder once more. It would be too great if she had some support from her family here, like some of the other champions, but the only one waiting for her return was her younger sister, Gabrielle. She sent a small smile to her sister and then stepped into the maze which quickly swallowed her up.

Rachel looked focused as she saw the champions stepped into the maze. Rachel glanced around and frowned. That was it? Rachel snorted and played with her sister's curls, she gazed up to the teacher's stand to see her father's distracted gaze, she giggled. "Look who is distracted, he's probably thinking about mom." she said to Violet.
