Having a talk

[Severus Snape]

Severus headed towards the black lake where he was supposed to meet his friend Lily. They hadn't been able to talk a lot lately, so he was happy to see her again. Hurrying his steps he arrived at the edge of the lake and stood next to a large tree. Lily was nowhere to be seen yet, so Severus leaned against it and closed his eyes against the sun.

[James Potter]

James was standing by the lake. Sirius and Peter were helping Remus fight bogarts, but James just did not feel like it. He looked back and saw Snape leaning against a tree. He came a little closer. He took his wand out, and within his laughs, he shouted. "Impedimenta!"

[Lily Potter]

Lily was just on her was to Sev. He wanted to talk to her and she was really excited since they didn't talk for weeks. But instead of happy meeting, she found that idiot Potter and his Marauders provoking Sev again. She looked at them with anger and went closer to them. "Let him go, Potter!" she shouted angrily.

[Severus Snape]

Suddenly, Severus felt a hex hitting him right in the back, slowing down his movements. Turning around he saw that Potter idiot smirk at him. "Let me go, Potter you swine!" he hissed at hims, reaching for his wand.
Just then Lily turned up and started to defend him and as much as Severus loved her for it, he hated to have to rely on her.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo came running out of the forest her wolflike legs rippling with power as she moved. Barking with happiness she heard her friend call out her ears swiveling forward. Running harder she turned into a human midstride "Severus!" she called out her eyes full of concern "Potter let him go" she said

[Lily Potter]

Lily stopped and looked at the Gaunt girl. What was she doing here?! She hated the fact, that Sev is surrounded by people like her. Those who force him to the dark. She looked at Marvolo and gave her clear sign she doesn't like her and she doesn't want her to be here.

[Severus Snape]

Severus was too preoccupied with getting out his wand and trying to release the spell to pay attention to the girls. He just wanted to get back at Potter for making such a humilating show of him

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo caught the gryffindor girl's glare "Get over it Evans he's my friend too" she said her hand itching for her wand.

[Lily Potter]

"Shut it Gaunt, nobody asked you. Just because Slytherins fall on their knees when you walk around doesn't mean I will do the same," answered Lily to defend herself. "You and your sister are just manipulating with others, forcing them into things they will regret later," she added hatefully.

[James Potter]

James was having quite a lot of fun. But, then, Lily arrived. She was usually a certain "voice" of reason, whenever he and Snape took it too far. This time, James was just plain bored. Lily was as beautiful as ever. James always felt that he had something for her, but he was never sure. They were never that close to find out. "Sorry Lily." Said James, lowering his wand.

He gazed at her eyes. He felt disappointed with himself. But he just thought that was fun. Pushing Severus was always something he liked doing. He noticed Marvolo arrive. She was just too close to Snape. Literally, too close. And her kiss with Sirius left him to wonder how much she really loved her 'boyfriend'. "Finite incantatem"

[Marvolo Gaunt]

"I've not done a thing wrong" she said with malice she wanted to hex the redheads hair right off her head she turned back to Severus a look of concern she never truly showed for others, she cared for the lonely slytherin boy and it showed on her features.

"Severus" she said as she rushed to his side as he hit the ground

[Severus Snape]

Severus stumbled to the ground when the spell was lifted off him and pulled out his wand to point it at the Gryffindor. "You're so patheic, Potter! Attacking me from behind, how perfectly honourable pf you, but then again, I shouldn't be expecting more from a Gryffindor should I?" he hissed at him.
He shook his head to Marvolo to show her not to interfere now, this was between him and Potter and he would not let his pride be hurt even more.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo nodded knowingly at his silent request her hands itched for her wand but she stood back silently supporting him.

[James Potter]

James looked at Snape. He wanted to curse him so bad. But he tried to keep calm. He looked at Lily. She would surely hate him even more if he did fight Severus. James turned his back on Snape, and started to walk away.

[Lily Potter]

Lily looked at James slightly shocked. He never listened to her like this before. What happened to him? Did he suddenly decide he will stop act like complete idiot and will be only half-idiot instead? She rather kept those questions in her head instead of asking out loud. She than ignored him and looked at Sev. "Sev? Are you okay?" she asked, trying to ignore Gaunt few steps closer to Sev than Lily was.

[Severus Snape]

Severus snorted in disgust when Poter turned away. "What now, Potter? Backing away from a fair fight? Of course, the great Potter rather hexes people in the back. How you disgust me you swine!" he spat at his back.
Inside he was burning with hatred and rage that the Gryffindor would not even give him the chance of a fight were he could get back his honour.
Spinning around towards Lily he sneered at her. "Couldn't you stay out of it!" he hissed at her.

[Lily Potter]

"How could I?! I was protecting you Sev! Potter is a prat, leave him, he is not worth your anger!" said Lily who felt another shock, this time because of Sev's reaction.

[James Potter]

James stopped a bit, and sat down on the grass. he could hear the conversation, but getting involved wasn't necessary. He watched as Sirius, Remus and Peter were on the other side of the lake. He waved at them, signaling for them to come around.

[Severus Snape]

Somehow he felt like he was about to explode, so Severus reacted the only way he could by lashing out at the one who was closest. "I don't need a girl to protect me! You just destroyed my honour, but how could I expect a mudblood like you to understand that!"he hissed at her in anger.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo's eyes widened she didn't expect him to say something like that to Evans of all people she watched as the other boys who followed Potter around crossed the lake in there direction.

[Lily Potter]

Lily went frozen as she heard those words from his mouth. Wasn't it him, who told her that blood makes no difference all those years ago? And now they were standing there and from all the people it was him who called her like this. With tears in her eyes and pain aching in her heart she made two steps and slapped him across his face. Than she turned around and with tears alredy streaming down her cheeks, she started to run away from this place.

[Remus Lupin]

Remus had strode across the lake his keen ears picking up the last bit of Snape's sentence, as Lily rushed past him he shot Snape a dirty look and ran after her.

[James Potter]

Before letting Sirius and the rest of the lot get to him, James turned around to Snape. He pointed his wand at him yet again. "I told you not to use that name Snape. Especially in front of me...and to Lily." James was quite shocked. Severus always seemed to treasure his friendship with Lily.

[Severus Snape]

Somehow, the pain from her slap snapped Severus out of his rage and his eyes widened when he realized what he had just said to her. "Lily!" he called after her, but she was already halfway back to the castle. "Damn it!" he thought, now angry at himself for taking his anger out on her.
"Shut up, Potter!" he spat and pointed his wand at his face. "Why don't you run after her, now that she's angry with me and play good guy, huh?"

"She'll forgive you" Marvolo said biting her lip her eyes on james "leave him alone"
