He smiled and placed it on her soft blonde hair "because i dont think anyone named winter could hate christmas and i realized i have seen you and the way you watch the snow fall outside the classroom." picking up his jacket having already paid for the drinks he said "Would you like to walk with me?"

Holding perfectly still as Drake placed the crown of flowers gently on her head, Winter couldn't help but smile at his explanation as to just why he believed her to love this time of year. So, he had taken notice of her, in some small form. As he picked up his jacket and asked her to walk with him, Winter paused for a moment. Her blue eyes searched his face before looking into his eyes. Nodding, she smiled tenderly and answered, "I'd love to. It's snowing..." Winking as she got up and donned her scarf and coat, she added, "You're right, you know. I love, not just Christmas, but the whole season of winter. Everything that comes with it. Especially...memories..." Her last words grew soft and gentle, as if the very words were something to be treasured.

Looking up at him, her eyes twinkled in the candlelight from the tables around them, the flowers on her head complimenting not just her hair, but her over all being. "Shall we?" Winter asked whimsically.

Taking her hand he led her outside and swung her out into the lonely square as the street lights snapped to life twirling her as soft christmas music played around them for the visitors of the village to enjoy. Holding her hands he pulled her close to him and placed a hand on her waist holding her other aloft he grinned down at her pulling her into a dance as snow flakes fell around them.

Winter only had enough time to glance at their joined hands, feeling and savoring the warmth she felt from his grip, before they were outside just as the lamps lit. Looking up into the softly falling snowflakes, Winter smiled and laughed lightly. Even to her ears, aided by her devices, she could make out the music that played around them. It was truly beautiful. Soon, she was close to Drake and in the perfect form to follow him as he lead her in a dance, right there in the square. "I didn't know you could dance," Winter mused as she fell into easy step with him as he led her. Seeing a cluster for flakes land on his cheek, she brought the hand that had been resting on his upper arm up and lightly brushed them away. Letting her fingers linger there for a moment, she quickly returned her hand to it's proper place, her cheeks, once again, warming slightly as they danced.

Chuckling he pulled her closer "I'm a man of many talents" he grinned at her, she felt so warm and soft and he couldnt help but blush a bit. Looking at her lips as the cold air drained them of colour giving them a soft pink tinge, he felt his heart race. "Winter..."

Wind kicked up around them swirling the snow flakes, his heart pounded harder and he leaned over her, pressing his hot lips to hers kissing them softly and gently.

As Drake pulled her in closer, she could feel the warmth radiating off his body. The chill in the air mixing with this warmth made her shiver slightly, not because she was cold, but because it was a new sensation that was enjoyable. "I guess you are..." she said softly as she looked into his eyes, losing herself there for several moments. His soft speaking of her name snapped her back to the present and made her heart begin to race. Within her, someplace, a fluttering of wings kicked to life as a gust of wind made the snow around them like the inside of a snowglobe.

When Drake's lips met hers in a gentle kiss, Winter brought her hands to rest on his chest. Feeling his heart racing, she was glad to know it wasn't just hers beating so fast. His kiss was warm against the coolness the chilly air placed over her, and, even though she might have imagined it, she felt that warmth travel through her, warming her all the way through. Gently returning his kiss, Winter pulled away, breaking it, and looked into his face. Her cheeks had a new glow of warmth as her eyes twinkled, snowflakes coming to rest on her hair and lashes, and she smiled.

Seeing her smile as she pulled away he boldened his approach and wound a hand through her hair. He kissed her again harder this time and less chaste, his lips moving across hers tasting the residual hot chocolate he skimmed his tongue along her lips politly seeking entrance.

Letting her eyes flutter closed as his hand trailed through her blonde hair, Winter slowly let them open as the tingle from his touch faded. When Drake's lips claimed hers, again, this time with more emotion, Winter let go of his hand and rested it against his collarbone, just to the tip of her cool fingers touched his neck. Her body slowly began to meld to his as she felt his tongue ask for entrance to her mouth. Hesitantly parting her lips, Winter sighed softly.

Gently he explored her mouth kissing her slowly and deeply careful not to push her too far. One hand on the small of her back the other in her hair he held her as he tasted her moaning softly into the kiss he slid his tongue over hers showing her gently its okay to explore right back.

His tongue was soft against hers and tasted of the sweet chocolate drink they just had. Slowly slipping her tongue into his mouth, Winter tasted him for several sweet moments before breaking the kiss and letting out a long breath. As steamy chrystals from her breath filled the space between them, Winter's hands gently gripped his coat and let it go, her eyes watching him closely. Was this what it felt like? Was this what it was liked to have someone look after you like many girls her age had? Smiling softly, she wet her lips slightly before tipping her head up to brush her own kiss over his lips, her hand lightly touching his cheek. It was only for a moment, but in that soft kiss, so much passed from her to Drake. Pulling back, Winter opened her eyes which twinkled happily in the laplight.

He felt like as she kissed him once more he was granted her trust and he decided to make the most of it. Kissing her again he then took her hand and began to lead them both back to the castle hearing voices calling signalling the end of the day trip to the village. His cheeks pinked from the cold and with the rush of kissing her but now he held her close as they walked up the snowy drive.

"I know we just met" he said after a bit "but..would you go to the ball with me?"

Linking her fingers with his, Winter's blush and fresh, pink lips nearly matched Drake's thanks to the exchange made between them. Glancing behind them as several studetns ran by on their way back to the castle, she sighed happily as the snow continued to fall. Another trip to Hogsmeade over... But, it was eventful...

Walking close to Drake, as he held her hand while they walked, his question made her look at him and paused before answering. "You'd... You'd really like to go with me?" she asked softly.

He looked down at her then stopped walking dropping to one knee he scooped up the snow and moved it between his fingers, as he moved his hand a snowflake pendent appeared and he slipped it onto a ribbon from one of the gifts he bought that day. "It would be my honor and privilege to escort you to the ball m'lady" he said looking up into her eyes.

Winter didn't know what Drake was up to when he stooped to pick up some snow, but when the snowflake pendent formed as he worked his magic on the snow in his hands, she smiled. As he slipped in on a ribbon, Winter brought her eyes up to meet his as he answered her question. "I would be honored to go with one such as you, Drake. Yes, I will go with you," she answered happily, her eyes beaming with happiness.
