Bad boyz (Mio and David)

David was excited for tonight. Him and Mio were going on a planned exploratory of the Dark Forest. They both knew they should not being going out after dark because of the monster still on the loose, but the danger is what made it fun.

So David waited alongside Mio in the common room for everyone to go to bed by doing..yes.. homework. He figured he should take the oprotunity and make sure he was all caught up, so he could at least gain the points he will lose if they were caught.

When the common room was empty, David looked over at Mio with a grin "Shall we go, mate?"

"Finally!" Mio groaned when the last Gryffindor had left the common room to go to bed. He had been about to fall asleep in the cozy atmosphere, doing nothing but sitting around, but now he was wide awake again. "Off we go." Mio nodded at David and jumped out of his chair, walking towards the portrait. The excitement of another adventure made Adrenalin rush through his body and he was ready to finally get into action.

A devilish grin pulled at David's lips when Mio said they should go "about time" he said as he jumped out of his own chair and followed Mio out of the portrait hole. He pulled his wand out of his pocket "Can't be too careful" He explained. he doubted if the monster would be defeatable by a wand, but it made him feel safer. Until Ember got him his weapons, he would have to satisfy himself with this.

He then followed Mio down the steps silently, then outside of the castle.

Together, the two Gryffindors sneaked down the stairs, always careful not to accidently run into any of their teachers or prefects. The last thing Mio wanted was to lose points for their house, now that they were finally in the lead, or worse, be dragged off to his father to get a punishment. He knew that he would probably end up scrubbing the vilest potions out of old cauldrons if his father would find him out after curfew. He breathed a sigh of relief when they finally arrived outside and Mio pulled out his wand to lighten up the path that would led them to the forest. “I hope we won't run into a werewolf or something like that..." he muttered under his breath.

David did not want to loose his house points, and knew Snape would devise a new personal hell for him if it were him that caught them, so he too was relieved when they made it out without being caught. When Mio mentioned werewolves, David chuckled "I'll save you from the big bad wolf, Claw" He held up his fists and did a few jabs in a professional manor. he then rolled his eyes.. doubting there were actually werewolves in the forest.. Dumbledore would not allow them on the grounds..

Mio rolled his eyes at his friend's comment. "Right ... " he drawled sarcastically and chuckled slightly. "You against a werewolf? I'd love to see that." Not that either of them would stand a chance against one of those beasts, but it would still be good if they stayed on their guard while they were out here in the forest. The followed the path deeper into the woods and Mio kept looking, as there were strange noises coming from all around them. "Wait!" he stopped David with a hand on his shoulder. "Did you hear that?"

He simply chuckled "After going head to head with two Slytherins with weapons, a werewolf will be a piece of cake." he knew he stood no chance against one, so he had not been serious. When Mio stopped him and asked about noises, David acted braver than he felt and said "its nothing, we're just being over cautious" He said, a little unsure himself. he then illuminated his wand and lifted it high, revealing nothing "See?"

Mio could not shake the feeling of unease, as they continued their walk into the shadows of the forest. Even after David had proved that there was nothing close to them at the moment, he had the impression that they were being followed by someone...or something. "I guess you're right...I'm probably just on the edge with what's going on at the castle right now. Normally, I really don't care for these things, but right now I am actually glad that none of our friends is a muggleborn." he said. Mio really did not want to picture any of the people he cared for petrified or even killed by some monster. "If we find this creature here, we'll kill it..." he muttered under his breath.

David nodded slowly "I know how you feel. And you forget.. Hermione is muggleborn" he was thinking about his friends on a whole, unlike what Mio probably meant..the Merlanders. he then added "And in the Slytherin's eyes, we are as bad. Blood traitors" He spat the words, he was still miffed by Mulciber.

he then nodded in agreement to Mio's mutter, barely hearing it even in the quiet forest. "two second years against the monster, it will be easy!" He sighed at his own poor joke

Mio winced slightly when his friend mentioned their muggleborn house mate, but to be honest, he had not even been thinking about her or anyone outside his circle of closer friends and family for that matter. Although, he was a very loyal person, Mio still would always put the ones he cared for first and as long as none of them got hurt, he could deal with everything else that happened. So far, Hermione was not part of that close circle, so his worry did not include her. Maybe that made him somewhat selfish, but that's how his father had raised him.

At David's next words, Mio rolled his eyes. "I really don't give a damn about what the Slytherins think and you forget, not all Slytherins are like that." he remarked, thinking of their friend Artemis who did not seem to care much for blood purity.
He outright laughed at the next comment. "Yeah, but imagine the Snakes' faces when he present them the monster tomorrow morning." he said, grinning. Not that he really wanted to run into the beast here in the forest, but it was still nice to imagine it.

David nodded and said 'With FEW exceptions, I'll give you that" He surrendered, he would have smiled if he wasn't so tense from the subject. He then added "but I doubt those few exceptions are the mysterious heir of Slytherin." He then took his turn to laugh, imagining carrying some big dirty monster all the way back to the castle "Well, it would be worth detention, that's for sure" He continued to scan the forest for any threats

"Yeah...I wonder if it really is one of the Gaunts, though they all seemed rather annoyed by the bloody writing. Maybe it is none of the students, but someone who invaded the castle?" Mio pondered aloud, as he followed David through the dark forest. He had been wondering about that for a long time. Something just did not make sense!
"Detention?" he snorted amused, thinking that death by his father's hand sounded way more possible. "We just have to make it worth it..." Mio agreed and left the path they were following to step right into the dark shadows of the forest.

David shook his head, having already dismissed this idea in his own head "No, no one would be able to sneak in with Dumbledore around." He had pondered the fact that Snape had been the one, but dismissed that almost as instantly as the sneak in the castle thing. If it was Snape, why would he wait until now to unleash the monster?

David then smirked and said "Oh it would be worth it.. imagine all the ladies begging us to be with them." he had Ember of course, but it was nice to dream... when Mio went off course, David hesitated for a millisecond, and then went after him "if the monster is here, it will be deep in the forest" he reasoned

Mio snorted at David's comment about Dumbledore, but kept his thoughts to himself for once. He knew that his friend had great faith in their headmaster and so did he as well, but everyone could make mistakes, everyone could overlook someone. Just like in first year when Quirrel had tried to kill Harry several times and Dumbledore hadn't done anything about it. He probably didn't even realize something was wrong till the end. Mio sighed. "I hope you're right. It's already bad enough if it was a student..." he muttered. If it would have been an adult, their problems surely would be even bigger.

He laughed at David's comment and rolled his eyes. "You're such a player, David." he said, grinning at his friend. Though Mio was thinking of Junis and whether she would be impressed if they returned with the monster...
Lightening his wand, Mio walked through the darkness, slowing down his steps slightly so he wouldn't stumble over anything. "My thoughts exactly...it's probably hiding in some cave or so..." he agreed.
