DADA Lesson Two (H)

[Dellen Lestrange]

Dellen walked through the classroom waving her wand to push the desks' against the wall she stood at the head of the classroom right as a loud clock chimed somewhere in the castle signaling the begin of classes for the day. Holding her wand between her two pointer fingers she waited as her students filed into the classroom"'Right then lets get organized, stow your things where they are out of the way. Place your homework in my Inbox and then pair up with a partner all of you" she said briskly not giving the students a moment to think.

[Severus Snape]

Severus strolled into the defense classroom deep in thought about his latest experiment. He wanted to seat himself in the front row, when he noticed that the tables and chairs were all standing by the sides. Confused he looked up to his Professor.
When she explained to them what she expected them to do, Severus sighed and put down his bag on one of the desk by the wall. He looked around whom he might pair up with, but that was going to be difficult as most students tried to stay away from him.

[Jocelyn Immorta]

Jocelyn walked into the classroom and stopped in the middle of the classroom and looked around, he saw Severus doing the same but she didn't look at him. The room was changed and it was set up where Jocelyn was so afraid of. She heard the teacher say that they needed to pair up Jocelyn widened her eyes and slowly backed away from the room, she bumped against the tables that was set up against the stone wall.

Jocelyn took a deep breath and told herself that she could do it as long as know one should cast something with fire she could do it Jocelyn hoped on that and settled her bookbag on the table and waited to pair up because she wasn't sure who she could choose.

Eric walked into the room and placed his homework on Professor Lestranges desk. As he looked around he noticed that the tables were up against the wall. When he was told to partner up he looked around and noticed two slytherins. He had no problem duelling either of them. Taking his wand from his bag he then threw his bag under one of the tables and turned around to the other two "Any of ye want to partner up"

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo walked into the classroom and sighed, she didn't feel like class all that much today. Placing her homework on the teacher's desk she looked over to Severus and smiled a bit. Walking over to him she said "care to be my dancing partner?"

[Jocelyn Immorta]

Jocelyn looked at the other boy who asked if one of them could be pairing up, Jocelyn nodded at him and walked over.

"i will pair up with you Eric wasn't it?" she asked him with a small smile.

[Severus Snape]

Severus sneered slightly when the first year entered the room. She had this scared expression about her again that he had noticed before and he chuckled darkly.
Completely ignoring the Gryffindor, he turned surprised to be asked to partner up with the Gaunt girl that had been sitting next to him before.
He narrowed his eyes, but gave her a small smirk. "If you expect standard dancing from me you will be sorely disappointed." he told her silkily. "But I guess a duel is a bit like a dance and I'm quite good at duelling, so let's see if you can keep up."

[Marvolo Gaunt]

"Goodluck to you too then" she said with a chuckle as her eyes turned to the front.

Dellen watched the students pair up and nodded "Right quickly any of you left pair up, now stand across from each other and first practice disarming each other" she barked the order quickly before raising her wand at the fifth year boy from her house, Severus Snape "First years you disarm your opponents as such" she demonstrated the wand movement then spoke the spell "Expelliarmous!" the wand sailed from the boys hand and clattered to the floor. "Get started, now"

[Severus Snape]

Severus glared slightly at his professor when she disarmed him and stalked over to retrieve his wand. A sneer on is face he walked back to his partner and pointed his wand at her. "Ready? Good. Expelliarmus!" he send the spell towards her without waiting for further reaction. He was still miffed that he had been put on show in such a fashion. Luckily, Potter and his brainless friedns weren't here today, Severus though scowling.

[Jocelyn Immorta]

Jocelyn pointed her wand at Eric's wand, she waited for him to get ready and then she flicked her wand and called "Expelliarmus."

Eric had been daydreaming as Professor Lestrange spoke and did not even notice Jocelyn's disarming spell until it was to late. He wasn't sure whether or not they were meant to defend themselves but he had no time anyway. His wand went flying out of his hand and hit the wall. Picking it up he turned around, smirked at Jocelyn at said "Expelliarmus"

[Jocelyn Immorta]

Jocelyn saw how the wand of Eric flew out of his hand and hit the wall. She was good at it after all, she thought she was horrible at it. Jocelyn was not paying attention and out of nowhere her wand flew out of her hand and ended on the floor a couple meters away from her, she turned to Eric and smiled at him.

"Great job Eric." She complimented him.

[Selena Snape]

Selena stood by the side of the room and observed the other students, as she had nobody to practice with. Maybe she could go and join one of the other pairs, she wondered and watched the two older Slytherins and the younger Slytherin and Gryffindor to decide whom she should approach.

[Guest]

Andromeda was awfully confident about this lesson of Defense Against the Dark Arts, so she styled her hair accordingly. She pushed inside the class easily and her hair swung to and fro in a long, braided ponytail. WIth a quick survey of the room, she spotted Selena alone. "Selena! You're working with me, alright?" Andromeda said to her in a demanding, but friendly tone.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo felt her wand fly from her hand and grimaced picking it up she turned to the older boy "Expelliarmous!"

[Dellen Lestrange]

Dellen walked amongst the students watching there interaction with each other "Ten points snape" she said stopping by the two slytherins hard at work "for being the first to get the spell correct and for letting me make an example of you, which I only did because you are mature enough to walk away from it" she offered them both a smile and moved on down the way where Eric and Jocelyn were working "well done five points each" she said with a nod.

[Selena Snape]

Selena was relieved when one of the other students approached her. She smiled at the older Slytherin girl and followed her to an empty area in the classroom. "Sure, let's pratice." she said eagerly and raised her wand in a swift motion, calling out "Expelliarmus!"

[Severus Snape]

A chuckled escaped Severus as he watched the slightly annoyed expression on his partner's face. He had to admit that he enjoyed to rile her up a bit. Normally, everyone just felt insulted by his comments, but he was confident that she might be able to take it.
Her spell hit him and his wand flew out of his grasp. "Not bad." Severus said smirking and picked up his wand again.
When the Professor walked past them, he nodded slightly to her. "Thank you, Ma'am."

[Dellen Lestrange]

"As soon as you have disarmed each other practice the stupefy curse on each other" demonstrating the wand movements, she chose not to demonstrate the spell on a student "but do be careful"

[Jocelyn Immorta]

Jocelyn nodded thank you to the professor and listened to her instructions for casting Stupefy. Jocelyn knew that spell but that would mean that she had to stun Eric and she did not know if she could properly do that without causing damage to her opponent.

"Are you ready? I hope i'll do it right and if not i'm truly sorry for that." Jocelyn spoke out to Eric and flicked her wand. "Stupefy!"

[Severus Snape]

Severus got into position again and pointed his wand at Marvolo, ready to cast the next spell. "Stupefy!" The red light shot towards his opponent with high speed, although he had ben careful to take out some of the force, so he wouldn't knock her unconscious.

Sirius was enjoying the little expeliarmus show. It was such an easy spell. He clapped sarcastically as he saw Severus uttering the stupefy spell. "Nice work, Snappy." He knows how to use stupefy...so what? Still wouldn't save him if I made him go meet Remus Sirius thought and grinned.

[Severus Snape]

Severus spun around and glared darkly at the Gryffindor. "Shut up, Black!" he spat angrily. Looking around, he noticed that the rest of the Gryffindors had nit arrived yet and relaxed slightly. "Where are your friends? Did they abandon you?" Severus asked with a nasty sneer on his face.

"Well James is probably with Lilly. But I guess you don't care." Sirius smirked. "Peter is off being what he is...and Remus is probably coming. Any thoughts Sevy?" Sirius felt he had placed Severus in his rightful place. Away from Lilly.

[James Potter]

James arrived late at the class. But who cares. He was of doing something much more interesting. He took a seat next to Sirius. "Hey there. So what were they doing? Did you catch anything Sirius?" James looked over at Severus with a girl. "Snapy, how good it is to see you socializing with a female." James laughed as he turned back to Sirius.
