Post Troll Trauma (Hermione, Ron) [PG-13] Empty Post Troll Trauma (Hermione, Ron) [PG-13]

After leaving the bathroom, Harry and Ron subsequently returned to the gryffindor common room. Approaching the fat lady portrait next to the trophy hall, Harry spoke to her, "Pig Snout," the fat lady began to sing before she allowed the boys to enter. Once the portrait was closed, Harry groaned, as he hated when she did that. The common room was no longer packed nor noisy. Everyone was probably sleeping after ending the little 'feast'. However, Harry's eyes still searched for Hermione.

Hermione couldn't sleep. Not after the whole troll incident. So she sat in the common room, curled up in a chair, reading a book. She glanced up when Harry and Ron entered the room, but she didn't say anything to them. She was being angry with them, but she couldn't keep it up. They had saved her life, after all. "Thanks, by the way," she said, but kept her eyes glued to her book. She had thanked them before, but she felt the need to say it again.

Harry smiled kindly, in a way he hadn't been the one who spoke 'ill' of Hermione, Ron had, but still, he had grinned at his friend's joke about how Hermione enunciated the wingardium leviosa spell, so he felt guilt even if he had only grinned. "There's no need for that. We won ten points the way..which most likely means we'll win five, but anyway, we won points," he offered her a small smile.

Ron couldn't help but smile at Hermione. Sure she had been a pain....and a know it all....and a pain, but, heck, she just saved them from getting expelled or something. Rubbing the back of his head, he felt like an ass for saying all the stuff he had about her. Really, she wasn't so bad. "No need to thank us, Hermione. Guess, we should thank you for keeping us from getting in real trouble," he said a little sheepishly.

Hermione raised her eyebrows slightly when they said that they had earned points. "Really?" she said, surprised. She figured that they would have gotten punished too, but she was glad that they didn't. She shrugged a little when Ron said they should thank her. She had only saved them because they had saved her. "I bet your glad I taught you how to cast that spell now," she said with a smile.

Ron nodded when Hermione asked about the points. "Yeah, guess they thought we deserved something for taking out that troll..." he said with a snort. "Thanks for helping me figure that spell out, Hermione. Without you.... Well, probably wouldn't have you two here," Ron said with a small blush and a shrug as he took a seat in one of the chairs near her.
