Hitting the books! Empty Hitting the books!

Post by Milo Rhysin Sun Jan 05, 2014 3:33 pm

Milo stumbled throw the library carrying a pile of books bigger than him, he needed to study if he was ever going to pass his classes, plus it was a good way to stay away from people. After all who in their right mind would spend all day in the library? Milo was searching for a clear table away from all the others, in a dark corner perhaps or a forgotten table be hind one of the bookshelves. Milo had just spotted a nice empty table away from everything else when one of the floating books tripped him and he fell face first. He lifted himself up and started to pick up his books, but hearing someone coming rushed him and he dropped them again having to start all over.....

Morgan was in the academic section of the library searching for some book that will help her with a small paper she was writing for her internship at St. Mungo's. She was almost done with her training and she couldn't be more excited. Well, she could.... But, she was doing the best she could to begin to piece her world back together. Remus was better than his word, but when she wasn't home, she was on her own to keep the 'nightmares' away. Keeping busy and focused on other things seemed to be the best help, so far.

Pulling a green leather-bound book from the shelf, Morgan stuck it on top of the other two books in her arm before hearing a commotion coming from around the stacks. Moving to look, she spotted a young boy that, if memory served her right, was from her own house. A small smile touched her lips at seeing what had caused the crash. It reminded her a little of herself when she was younger. Going to him, Morgan set her books down and helped him pick up the rather large stack of books he had been carrying. "You alright?" she asked him setting one bunch of the fallen books on the table.

Milo was in a rush picking up books and stacking them in piles when a older Ravenclaw girl had stop to help him, "I.... I... I am... F...Fine," he stuttered out as he hurried to pick the last few of his books up. Standing up he hurried to place his books in his back, "th.... Thank you," He stuttered a small think you before grabbing his back and a large black case and turned for the table...

Morgan smiled and picked up her own books. Standing up she looked at the young Ravenclaw, "You're welcome. Mind if I join you at your table?" He seemed very nervous. "Quite a stack of book you have here. What are they all for?" she asked, trying to make small talk to help him relax a little.

Milo was stopped by the girls question, looking down at his feet and then back to the girl he was trying to thank of something to say but wasn't sure what. "I... Gues... Guess you can," he said with his stutter as he sat his bag and case down on the table before scurrying over like a mouse and pulling out a chair for the girl. At her question a shy smile spread over his face, "They are fore class," he said as he took his own seat and opened a heave black leather book.

"Thanks," Morgan said, taking the seat he pulled out for her. At his answer, she shook her head remembering when she sat in the library surrounded by mound of books for class. While it made for long hours of study, it paid off as she was finding now. "Ah... I used to be just like you. In fact," Morgan said looking around, "This is the very table that I picked with I needed to study away from everyone." Turning back to look at the boy, she held out her hand to shake his, "I'm Morgan. Morgan Lupin. What's your name?"

Milo looked at the girl with deep eyes as she said that she was like like him at once, the girl didn't know how much that hurt for her just think he was sitting here to study, in all honesty Milo had people problems and trusted no one. As he flipped through the pages Milo noticed the hand the girl had extended to him, not wanting to be rude he lightly took it and shook. "Milo, Milo Rhysin." He said quickly before going back to his book.

Giving the boy's hand a shake, Morgan took out some parchment, and opened one of her books. Seeing him dive right into his pile of books, she wondered about him. She didn't recall seeing him all the often in the Common Room, except for just passing through. Granted, she wasn't there that often either since she had work and home and a husband to look after. "Do you have a favorite subject, Milo?" Morgan asked, trying to ease the tension she was feeling coming off the boy.

Milo looked up from his book and at the girls before opening his mouth to speak, "Charms," he said with a weak smile before reaching for his own ink well in quill and started scribbling down notes on a peace of parchment. After a bit he started to tap his foot in a musical beat and hum along with it, Milo couldn't help himself music cam to him and there was nothing you could really do about it.
