She jumped as the mug hit the wall and silently questioned where Stephen was, "Calm your temper Young!" she roared her hand on her wand but not picking it up "I am on your side, I am helping you I am not covering for the bastard"

Jericho watched as her hand went to her wand, but not drawing it. He felt his, mentally, in the pocket of his jeans designed specifically for wands. He placed his hands firmly on her desk and leaned heavily on them. "So you say," he spat at her. "Prove it...." he challenged her. "Prove to me your on our side, as you say. That you're doing as you say to help aid, rather than hinder this case!" he yelled at her.

Her anger swelled she wanted to jinx him, cut him something her eyes shot to his throat where his pulse throbbed and she remembered how it felt to rob a man of his life. Her fingers curled around her wand "and how do you propose that?" she said her gaze darekened and her malice was written on her face.

Jericho's blue eyes went hard as ice as he watched her fingers curl around her wand. He wasn't about to duel the Minister, not here, anyways. "That's not for me to dictate, Ma'am," he said through his teeth. "I know where I stand. Do you?!?!" he moved his hand and placed it over hers that was gripping her wand. He knew he had her, he knew she tripped over information. But he wasn't about to fight her. "Do you know where you stand?" he growled again, his eyes not leaving her face for a moment.

Her muscles tensed as he laid his hand on hers "Do you think that is wise boy?" she said her voice low and sinister "I've been working on this case personally, I've forgone much more important tasks to find this man, just because we know nothing does not entitle you to this temper tantrum, now take your hands off me if you wish to ever walk again"

Jericho's eyes softened as his logical, Auror brain took over. If he was to get word of the Minister's actions out of this office, he best cool it so he can actually walk away. He removed his hand from hers and stood, running his hand through his blondish hair. "Forgive me, Ma'am. It's harder to simply go along with things when a case hits so close to home," he said in a much calmer tone. "I believe I might just be taxed and frustrated with the lack of moving forward," he added.

Her words struck him deep to his core. Jericho half-shook his head in response as her clenched his teeth tightly together. "Ma'am, I beg you. Don't do this.... I made a mistake, and it's not one I will make again," he stated matter of factly. "Give me another chance...." a small plea in the request.

"Your not level headed enough" she said to him "you need to take some time to get your act together, I am suspending you from work, you will be paid but you will not be permitted inside of the ministry and contact with ministry officals outside of myself could cost you your job"

Jericho stood tall as he processed what the Minister just told him. "As you wish, Ma'am," he said respectfully. Inside he was seething with anger, but what could he do. Nothing.... The Minister was his boss above Moody and he needed to do as he was told, so he would.

"Hand over your badge and you are free to return home, no stops on the way out a detail will escort you out" she said sternly as she opened the door and sent a patronus to the guard office.

Jericho put a hand on the silver and gold badge on his belt and paused. Then quickly unhooked it and handed it to the Minister. "I will await your owl for returning to work, Ma'am. I hope that it will come sooner rather than later," he said humbly. "I apologize for letting you down," he said as he headed to the door to await his escort.

She took his badge and simply nodded, after ordering the guards to see him out of the building she placed his badge on her desk. She had some damage control to do.
