Antares sat in the grass by the lake, leaning back lazily against a tree as she flicked small stones at the back of one of her friends’ heads. The day had been particularly boring, but with no homework to do and nobody to pass the time with, she’d figured that getting some sun had to be better than being cooped up inside all day. Her Slytherin friend turned to shoot her a glare, and she smirked at him in response. They didn’t exactly talk, because they weren’t really her friends. Just allies she’d known since she was a child. As the sun began to set, they each walked away to head for dinner, and she remained where she was until she was alone. Closing her eyes as she leaned her head back against the tree, she wondered how long it would take before the drama would settle down.

Scorpius walked down the sloping green lawns his piercing cool eyes surveying the scene before him. He evaluated those before him deciding what to do, whether he would like to tease some members of the other house or find a woman to warn his bed. Spotting a head of blonde hair he recognized he jogged silently down to the tree and climbed into its arms silent at the grave. 

Waiting a moment he hooked his legs around the tree limb he sat on and let himself fall so he hung over Antaraes "Hello little sister" he grinned.

With her eyes settled on the lake now that she was alone, she started to wonder if it was a good idea do be here. The school was great and the library well stocked, but it seemed wrong. She’d dreamed of Hogwarts as a child, and she had always imagined it to be a happy place, where the only concern was homework and who was kissing who. Instead they had to worry about a war on top of the usual things. She liked it at Hogwarts, but she wished it was how it should have been.

Lost in her thoughts, the Ravenclaw didn’t realise that someone else had joined her until a face dropped in front of her. So distracted, she didn’t realise who it was as she grabbed the side of their hair and punched them in the mouth. “Shit, Scorp!” she said, loosening her fist and placing both of her hands on either side of his face, “I’m so sorry! Why did you sneak up on me!?”
