Potential Ball Date? (Ivy)

This time Kate was trying. She knew the Yule Ball at Hogwarts was coming up, and that it was open to the public. She did not want to go alone, but she did want to go. She could not even think of asking Medusa, considering she would be going with her husband, so Kate needed a new date. Again she would have preferred a girl, but at least a guy was something.

Tonight she wore a Scarlett dress that, truth be told, showed off a little too much cleavage, but she was, after all, trying to attract a date. Now a days the more skin you showed the better your chances were.

She walked up to the bar and ordered her regular. As she waited for it, she turned on her stool, looking out over the bar, looking for some hotties.

Ivy was thrilled for the break that weekend, knowing that if she didn’t take it now that the students would be the death of her over the holiday. Having thought that teaching would be easy, Ivy had been sorely mistaken and although she had become more prepared for the job that she was doing, she still found that she needed to take regular time away from the classroom.

“What would you like, Professor?” one of the barmaids asked as Ivy slid into a stool. “Alcohol,” she answered with a tired smile, “a lot of alcohol.” A few moments later, a drink was pushed towards her on the counter and she smiled, “thanks, sweet.” Taking a long mouthful, she closed her eyes and hummed softly and the burn that travelled down her throat.

Kaitlyn looked over as she saw yet another Hogwarts professor. She smirked when she realized she seemed to have a way with them, remembering how easy it was to attract Medusa. That night had been a fun one indeed. So when The professor ordered the drink, Kate got up and slid in across from her, saying "Put it on my tab"

She then smiled flirtingly at the woman who looked about her age "Hello beautiful"

Ivy looked sideways toward the woman who had bought her drink, eyeing her intensely. She didn’t recognise her, not even vaguely, but that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t talk to her. She seemed nice enough, though Ivy wasn’t naive enough to believe her intentions pure. But what did it matter, since the Transfiguration professor would far from be considered as such herself.

“What brings a pretty woman like yourself to Hogsmeade all alone?” she asked, running her fingertip gently around the rim of her glass before making a show of looking around the bar, “or are you not alone?”

Kate almost laughed at the woman's first statement, just the way she was acting showed she was into her own gender, which was one strike on the tally to getting with the Auror Kaitlyn Becket. She then let out a laugh when she asked if Kate was not alone. She then said "Would I be wearing this if I had somebody?" She oh very sneakily just got the woman to look at her body, it was almost as if she tried wooing women and men for a living..which she didn't. Usually she spent her life doing her work, not looking for partners.. but since the ball was coming up she was putting an effort in.

She then held out her hand "Kaitlyn Becket.. but please, call me Kate." She shot the woman a disarming smile.

Ivy eyed the woman’s attire for a moment, her smile widening. It was a beautiful outfit, and she noted that the woman underneath was always rather attractive. That wasn’t to say that Ivy was easy enough to fall for nothing more than pretty clothes. “Touché,” she said simply, raising an eyebrow as she sipped from her glass.

The Professor smirked at her company, extending her right hand for the other woman to shake. “It’s my pleasure to meet you, Miss Becket. I’m Ivy.”

Kate knew the best way to attract someone was not to try TOO hard. So when she felt The woman's eyes look over all Kate's curves, she did not give her a show. She did not stick out her chest, or pull her dress down a bit to show more off. She instead stayed perfect still and did not do anything except watch the woman.

Kate then shook her hand and said "Please.. call me Kate, or else I will have to start calling you professor." She smirked slightly

Though she wouldn’t call her humble, Kaitlyn Becket was at the very least modest. She knew what she had, but she didn’t seem to eager to flaunt it any more than necessary. That in itself was refreshing for Ivy, who had had plenty of people, though mainly men, throw themselves at her. While mainly because she liked to frequent places that didn’t see washed women often, back when she was in her home country.

“Well then I will have to be obliged to call you Kate,” Ivy said, taking a mouthful of her drink, “what do you do, Kate? Other than sitting on bar stools all pretty like, that is.”

When Ivy said she felt obliged to call her Kate, The Auror grinned and stated "Good, well thats settled!" She took a sip of her drink.. not wanting to get too drunk.. not yet anyways.. she was off duty until tomorrow afternoon, so anything was possible. When Ivy asked what Kate did, other than look pretty, Kate giggled "Please, the obviously your job" She winked before saying "I'm an Auror" With a a shrug.. she hadn't exactly done anything to make her have any reason to flaunt it.. not yet anyways
