Siverion Matterson had spent the past few months mourning the disappearance of his girlfriend, Sydney. They hadn't been together for long, but that didn't mean that he wasn't hurt by the way that she had ran away, or been taken. When news of her untimely death made its way through his open window in the talons of a tawny owl, he found himself unfeeling. He'd mourned the Hufflepuff for long enough, he had been sure, but that hadn't been the case.

When he read the words 'Sydney was murdered' that was scrawled rather carelessly on a piece of yellowed parchment, he had found himself in a state of shock. Not because he hadn't considered this end game, but because he had. Why would somebody put out such a young light, when she had surely done little wrong in her short life.

Siv had thought he was fine, even with the news, and as such continued on with his daily life. It wasn't until a few days later that he realised that he wasn't unfeeling, but instead numb. He wouldn't have noticed, if it weren't for his emotions thawing, only to spray in his face at full force. "She's dead," he had said, in the middle of the Quidditch Pitch during a private training session. That phrase 'she's dead' had slipped from his lips until he found himself growing angry.

It was not the type of rage that would make one stronger, though the young Gryffindor had thought it was. It was the rage that blinded you, leaving you to make mistakes.. to slip up.

Perhaps he was making a mistake as he walked at a steady pace down the path that lead to Sydney's family home's front door. He didn't care. He didn't know who had done this to the girl that he had grown to love so deeply, but he did know that her father was going to pay for what he did to her during her life.

His wand was gripped in his right hand as he forced the door open, knowing that Mr Di Angelo's drunken state was probably what caused the lack of caution. Nobody left their door unlocked and home unwarded anymore. How could have been so stupid? But of course, he was not expected to be intelligent, otherwise he'd have known better than to replace his wife with his young daughter.

It didn't take the Gryffindor long to find his target, laying carelessly across the tabletop, with a bottle of whiskey in front of him. He was sleeping, which was going to make this all the more easy. Siverion's fingers closed around a knife that had been left on the sink, though it still had meat juice over it. Again, he didn't care.

Glancing at the face that held so much resemblance to Sydney, Siv raised the knife and let it fall, slicing just to the left of his spine into his neck. He thought that would be enough, but it wasn't. Sure, the man wasn't going to survive it, but Siverion couldn't stop. Bringing the knife up again and again and again, he turned the back of Mr Di Angelo's head into a torn and bloody mess before bringing the knife across the man's face.

He would have continued, though he didn't know how longer for, had it not been for the sound of footsteps that he heard approaching the front door. Stepping back quickly, Siv dropped the knife to the floor before turning to run from the scene. Out the back door, down the path, over the low fence and into an area of forest that seemed to go on forever in their direction.

Slumping against a tree, he slid down until his backside rested in the dirt and dropped his face into his hands. A foul mixture of blood, dirt, and tears filled his palms, and yet he couldn't stop crying. Not when the sun began to sink, or when the birds stopped singing. Not even when footsteps approached his hunched form.

He just cried.

Walking slowly through the forest Magnus had a cigarette propped in between his lips, his hands on his pockets one fist clenched and the other holding onto a dagger. He took slow and steady paces, taking drags from the cigarette, each pull bringing more smoke than the last to his mouth, before he exhaled leaving a dark cloud behind him.

Magnus had been cleaning some nearly empty shelves and there was only one shard of dust left. Although it, to Felix and Mariya, appeared that their encounter with Gabriel had no consequences, it did. They had killed many people, some of which had families waiting for them at the end of the day, and Magnus had to take care of it. Children, mothers and fathers, sisters, brothers, all had to be put down and burnt, as if they never existed.

Now he was after the only end left to tie, the father of one of the girls he had murdered in cold blood. Sydney Di Angelo was her name, a cute little blonde that was, in Kain's words, a harlot. Magnus had no reason not to believe him but that wasn't exactly a factor in the blood rush he was having at the moment of the death of the hufflepuff.

Stepping into the home of the man that was known as Mister Di Angelo to many, Magnus saw pictures of Sydney and Jace one of the boys he also killed, hanging around, nailed to the walls. One had the children ripped from it leaving only the father in it. Chuckling at the lack of love as one would call it, the back door suddenly slammed open and then shut forcing Magnus to ready himself.

Impossible... He couldn't know I was coming, he thought as he began jogging through the hall, catching in the corner of his eye, the corpse of what was once Mister Di Angelo. Smirking darkly he shook his head, "Seems like I have yet another loose end," he muttered to himself before blasting the door open, stepping out of the house.

Looking down at the ground, the footsteps of the person that had been at the house were scattered all around but in only one direction. Chuckling dryly once more, he began to follow them, once again slow and silent steps, like before when he was at the forest.

Crossing almost half, maybe more, of the damned forest, Magnus' ears rang as he heard sobs coming from behind a tree. Male... he mused in his head as slowly went around the tree keeping his distance from it, and stared at the boy.

He smirked when he noticed just whom it was, Siverion, a gryffindor. Lions were getting crazy those days and it amused Magnus to no end. "They say crying is good for the soul... How's that working out for you?" Magnus asked hiding away his twisted smile.

The crying Gryffindor hardly even noticed that there was somebody else there until the boy spoke. Siverion didn’t care who it was, or what they wanted. If he was locked up for what he’d done, he’d survive. It wasn’t like he didn’t deserve it, and he knew it, but he didn’t regret what he’d done to Sydney’s father. He deserved that, too. Wiping roughly at his red-rimmed eyes, the boy dragged his gaze over the dirt and up the new comer’s body until it met his face.

Just fine, Carrow,” he spat, his eyes hardening at the appearance of his classmate. Though he wondered what he was even doing there, in such a random place at the same time, he didn’t ask. Instead, he gritted his teeth and rose to his feet. The his back hurt from where the bark grazed it as he’d stood, but he paid it no mind. What was a few scratches to his life? To her life..

After drawing a few shaky breaths, the fourth year frowned and growled, “what the fuck do you want?” He was cocky, arrogant and often presumptuous, but he wasn’t usually rude. But he had just slaughtered his dead love’s father, and couldn’t bring himself to care about what else he did.. or said.

Chuckling in a low tone he cracked his back before his hands reached deeper into his pocket, "See, this is why I kill people," he shook his head and raised his eyebrows, "Say, wouldn't I be doing you a favor if I just killed you?" Magnus asked with amusement, before taking his hands from his pockets taking out a coin which he flipped once.

Oh,” the Gryffindor drawled, rather uncharacteristically, as his body slumped against the tree he had been sitting against, “you kill people? As in plural?” He doubted that the Slytherin would actually answer him, but he didn’t care. What was there to care about? He’d already lost his girlfriend, and now he’d lost his morals. “Doing me a favour?” he asked, his voice slightly softer, “yes, probably.. no. I don’t want to die. I don’t think..

Before the coin landed on his palm it turned into a small ceremonial dagger and Magnus wrapped his fingers around the hilt, swinging it around once. "Make up your mind boy-o," he said as he motioned for the boy to get up with his free hand.

Siverion thought for a moment. He didn’t see why this boy seemed so interested in his death, but perhaps he actually cared. Pfft! he thought after only a few seconds, that’s unlikely. But for some reason the Gryffindor was seriously considering the ‘offer’, and although he knew that he was young, he didn’t really feel like trying to go on knowing that he’d never see Sydney again, and further more with what he had done to her father. Death was surely a better option than Azkaban or muggle prison. He dropped his wand to the ground and stood straighter, before nodding once and saying in an even voice, “kill me.

Magnus instantly smirked darkly, as his index and middle finger gripped the collar of the boy. Pulling it slightly, so there was enough space for a hand to pass through Siverion and the shirt, Magnus cut it cleanly with his dagger. Pressing the cold blade against the skin of the boy, it hovered above his stomach, and Magnus cackled, "This is going to be fun," the slytherin mused, as the tip of the blade began to prick the skin of Siverion.

When he had asked the Slytherin to kill him, he had expected it to have already been over by the time he could over think that request. But instead, it seemed that Magnus intended to enjoy his death. His lips parted slightly in a whimper as the cool edge of a blade moved over his skin. Hissing quietly, the Gryffindor tried to keep from moving in any way, knowing that if he ran he was unlikely to get far and he refused to be easily weak. “Why not fast?” he said, forcing his gaze to Magnus’, “wouldn’t you rather get it over with and then be on your way?

"You want fast?" Magnus asked, his demonic eyes staring into the lion's, as he pulled his arm back, and shoved the dagger roughly into the boy's body, in between the stomach and the spleen. Twisting the hilt so the dagger was sideways, Magnus pulled it to the right, slashing the spleen cleanly in half before ripping the weapon from his body, "Are you enjoying it now?" he asked with a calm and emotionless expression.

Siverion watched intently, sure that Magnus was going to head his request. If he was going to die, he wanted it to be painless. However, he quickly realized that it was too much to ask of this obviously insane boy. The pain he felt was excruciating, but almost instantly it was like somebody had placed a numbing charm on him. Which was extremely unlikely as there was only two people in the forest. He coughed, small splatters of blood leaving his mouth, though it seemed there was nothing instantly fatal hit yet. Just his luck. “No,” Siverion spat, “but I don’t really have a choice now.

Grinning with as he narrowed his eyes Magnus shoved his free hand roughly inside the open wound of the boy parting his organs, ripping caterpillars and tearing veins apart as his hand climbed up the lion's torso, before his skin and flesh had been thorn from his wound to his heart. "Figured that out on your own?" Magnus teased.
