Magick (Spelling; Archaic Pronounced Ma-jik :the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.


Since man walked the earth and formed original thought there has been Witches. Magick exists in everything, in the air we breathe the water that flows, the grass that grows and the fire that burns. There is Magick in child birth and in death, there is magick in success and failure.

A simple prayer or wish that is magick..or magickal thinking. To think magickally is to believe in a power bigger then yourself, whether it be believing in your destiny or in the gods and fates that preside over it.

Travelers for centuries have carried with them the ancient laws of magicks, passing down for generations rituals and practices that not only aided them in the worship of there gods and goddesses but also raised energy and brought them power.

Ritual:a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.


Witchcraft is as ancient as it is powerful. Surviving for centuries it has been turned into a daily tool though at its heart is ritual. The simple act of using your wand, or cutting ingredients for a potion could be considered pieces of a ritual.

Ritual magick is stronger then regular magick and allows the witch's reach to extend past seeing there victim. Whilst performing ritual magick the witch can do almost anything, that is if there will is strong enough.

In Defense Against The Dark Arts, you are taught that in order to cast unforgivable curses you must truly feel them. The killing curse lacks the same accuracy that slitting a man's throat has because if you doubt yourself the moment you mutter the spell it will fall short and at best knock your victim back.
The same can be said for ritual magick, if your will is not strong enough the spell or rite you look to perform shall not make its mark.

There are many forms of ritual magick, for example there is fertility rites, rituals that aid in granting female members fertility or a boost to there fertility. There are healing rituals to aid the process of healing from a grievous illness. There is necromancy, a magick that is older then the dead it claims. That in itself is a ritual magick.

The travellers have passed down the art of ritual magick for generations and through ritual magick have bound themselves to the earth as well as the craft itself.
