Headmaster's test

[Reaver Grimm]

Dumbledore, sat behind his enormous claw-footed desk looking over his half moon spectacles at the big clock that hung in his office above the door, it was ten after four, 'where could she be?' He thought to himself as he went back to reading the daily prophet, "Four more muggle attacks this week," he said to no one in particular, he went about reading the paper when one of the paintings on the wall spoke "Someone at the door to see you Headmaster," it squeaked. Dumbledore raised he head and crocked, "enter," before waving his hand to open the big oak door letting his guest in.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo walked down the halls moving at her leisure approaching headmasters office, ascending the stairs "You wished to see me headmaster?" she said as she stepped into the large office.

"Aww yes, Mrs. Gaunt" he said before standing to walk around his desk, "please have a seat, I insist." He said as he sat by the fire offering the other armchair to Marvolo, he waved his hand over the fire and as if it was hit by dragons breath it roared to life, "now, tell me about this attack on my school and why no one thought to alarm me." He said as his eyes stayed locked on Marvolo as he stared over his half moon spectacles, his eyes cutting right through the girls tough act.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

Marvolo took her seat leaning back in the chair, "the attack happened so quickly that battle quickly ensued no one had a chance to alert you sir"

Dumbledore looked at Marvolo, "is that so, I see. Then do you mind telling me why I had to find out by walking the grounds?" He asked the Marvolo his voice calm and still with out anger or pity. "Did you neglect to tell to me about this," he asked her still his voice was calm.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

"As i explained, it was underway unexpectedly the assault started and we were all engaged no one could inform you"

Dumbledore shook his head and sighed "I was referring to after the attack." he said but this time his voice was cold and blunt, he was tired of people thinking they can do what they will and get away with it the time had come to start protecting his school and students.

[Marvolo Gaunt]

"I was in the hospital sir" she said peeling the bandage off her face to show the gruesome wounds and stiches "i was tending to my family as you know I have a son and a fiance, and many friends who were harmed. You were at the scene sir so i did not feel i had to inform you"

"Yes indeed, you family," Dumbledore paused for a moment before looking at the clock. "Look at the time, you had better be off before your late to your next class," Dumbledore said and dismissed her.
