Example Role-play (100 words min.):
It was a morning like all the others, Caradoc had made himself presentable before heading out of his chambers. His parents, usually up before him had already settled in their respective chairs and were being served the first order of the day, tea. "Good morning, Father, Mother" He smiled politely and waited for his father to acknowledge his presence. "Good morning, son" His father smiled warmly followed by a greeting from his mother. That was his cue to take a seat. It had been imbedded in his head since a young age that he should never interfere with the conversations between grown ups and he always should wait to be invited to the table, even if it was his house.
"I trust you slept well" His father, Lord Dearborn asked before taking a sip of his tea. "Yes, father, thank you." He nodded as he was served his food. "How is your day so far?" He spoke calmly, nobles never raised their voices. "Very well, but it's only eight in the morning" His father winked, earning a smile from the boy. "Today we'll be going to Diagon Alley" His mother spoke. "But mother, I have not received my letter yet" Caradoc spoke. "It's not like the letter might not arrive, dear. I rather not go when the streets are crowded" She told him.
With a small 'pop' a house elf appeared carrying a silver tray with the emblem of the family and a letter. Caradoc remained in his seat despite his excitement to rip that envelope open and read the words he had been waiting to see for so long.
Dear Mr. Dearborn.
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...
He watched as the house elf set the letter beside him, his fingers itching to open it but he remained in place eating his breakfast as if nothing had happened. "Go on" His father broke the silence. "Open it" Caradoc looked at his mother, she smiled and nodded, without a doubt pleased with his manners. "Excuse me" He spoke before removing his silk napkin and getting up.
He calmly walked out of the dining room, letter in hand. No sooner had he heard the doors close behind him, Caradoc broke the wax seal and began to read his long awaited letter. Yes, he had indeed been accepted.
